Is my husband being caring or giving me white lies or does he really think i should stop dieting?

Here's the thing my husband is a very attractive man, before me he literally dated models, I dont mean average models either I mean top models. Im chubby, pretty but not WOW SHES HOT, I told him I wsa going to diet and loose 20lbs he told me not to and that he didnt like skinny girls.........I know thats not true, is it possible he likes me chubby or is he just being nice????
